May 9, 2022.
For the first time in 10 days, I went to work. 😜
Now that Kotaro was born safely, I finally decided to apply to the company for childcare leave.
I was sooooo surprised when I checked my company's website.
The period of childcare leave that could be taken "Until the last day of the month in which the child turned one year old" was changed to "Until the day before the child turned one year old".
(Long Pause)
Oh!? Whaaaaat!?
What a surprise, the childcare leave period has been shortened!?
Furthermore, "until the day before the child turns one year old" means that I have to go to work on Kotaro's first birthday!?
I was stunned with my mouth wide open for about 15 seconds. 😲
I thought for a moment about inquiring with the human resources department, but there was no way I would be able to get childcare leave in the previous time period if I inquired.
So I changed my mind and said, "Yeah it' OK. Kotaro was born on April 26, and it's almost the end of the month."
Well, I've grown up. 😁✨
After contacting the Human Resources Department, I received the necessary documents for taking childcare leave.
I read them and found that the application for childcare leave benefits is handled by the human resources department.
Then, fill out the necessary information on the documents sent to me and return them with the necessary certification documents (birth certificate, residence certificate, copy of withholding tax withheld, etc.), and the procedure for taking childcare leave is complete!!
After my last day of work on June 10, 2022, I will take a paid leave of absence until June 30, 2022, and from July 1, 2022 to April 25, 2023, I will be on childcare leave!!
Yeah, I'm soooo looking forward to my childcare leave 😁✨
to be continued...
