After the setback, I was more lethargic than when I was in my 3rd year of high school. haha
I spent every day in inertia.
I said to myself, “I will definitely continue as a player until the end” and continued to play in the university baseball team anyway.
For me, quitting the university baseball team halfway through or choosing something other than a player was betraying myself, who had been aiming to become a professional baseball player and had played baseball.
In the middle of my 3rd year at university, I started looking for a job.
After graduating from university, I was full of desire to be a professional baseball player, and I never thought of a career other than baseball. hahaha
I was rejected by companies that I tried out of curiosity, and when I was thinking about how my life would be, I suddenly remembered the trainer I met at the gym in my blank year.
"I've had so much support, but I'm sorry. I can't face him", I felt apologetic and thought, "I wish I'd met a grown-up like him sooner. If I had met a grown-up who genuinely supported my dreams and goals earlier, my life would have been different."
“Perhaps there are a lot of children who give up because they are denied or laughed at by those around them, even though they have dreams and goals. If that's the case, just like the trainer did for me, next time I'll support the children's dreams and goals with all my heart."
That's why I decided to become a teacher.
After that, I took several recruitment exams for educational companies.
In the end, I wrestle with the choice between “teaching students to pass university entrance exams in my hometown” and “teaching elementary and junior high school students in a new world”, regarding the teaching environment after graduating from university.
It was only one year, but I studied hard for university entrance exams, and because of that, I wanted to become a teacher of the Japanese language at a cram school that mainly taught university entrance exams after graduating.
However, as of 2009, the cram school for teaching elementary and junior high school students had a teaching environment equipped with the latest equipment, such as electronic blackboards and cameras for class recording.
Especially for me, it was very attractive to be able to record classes with a camera.
This is because I can see my own classes objectively and the classes of teachers who are considered good.
As for the training, I thought, "I don't like it" just by listening to the explanation, such as teaching in an empty classroom and having a senior lecturer watched the class. haha
Also, I thought that if I did it properly, my teaching skills would definitely improve.
At that time, I was going to live as a teacher for the rest of my life.
That's why I chose the new world because I thought that I would be able to teach at a higher level in the long run if I had learned formal things first.
to be continued...
