14. Find a hospital I can meet my new born baby

The previous story is here!

End of October 2021.

In Japan, the fourth period of the state of emergency declaration has ended, and the number of new infections with the new coronavirus has decreased.

We were looking for a hospital where I could attend the birth.

After a while, I found a nice hospital, so my wife called the hospital soon.

However, unfortunately, the result was that "the reception was closed with full capacity".

Even with the birth seven months away, it's already full.

I was soooo surprised.

It's in the next ward, but about 30 minutes by car, there was a hospital that looked good enough to attend the birth, so my wife called them…

They said, "It will be fine if you went for the 4th month check-up, and although it depends on the infection status of the new coronavirus infection, it's possible to attend the birth at that time.

Well, this makes me sooooo happy!

We finally found it!

Later, I just hope that the new corona virus infection will calm down.

And so, it's November.

After successfully completing the checkup at a metropolitan hospital, we received a letter of introduction to another maternity hospital.

We paid with a credit card just like last time, and I looked at the receipt…

0 yen.

Oh my God, it's 0 Yen! hahaha

Involuntarily, I stare at the receipt in wonder and asked my wife.

"Huh? What does 0 yen mean? Is the check-up for pregnant women free?"

"It's not like they're all free, but the government in Japan subsidizes the cost up to 14 times. See, the other day, do you remember I just wrote my name on several sheets of paper? By the way, I paid 1,500 yen this time, but that's the fee for the letter of introduction."

Oh, what!? I never knew there was such a system!!

Certainly, the receipt has the score of "74 points for first or re-examination" and "530 points for examination", but the amount is 0 yen.

On the other receipt, in the column of "Self-expenses", it says "1,500 yen for writing", so this is the fee for the letter of introduction.

That's a good price, letter of introduction. hahaha

So, I went home and opened up the documents I had received from the city hall and the hospital, as well as information magazines such as Tamago Club, Hiyoko Club, and Zexy Baby, and there were so many. haha
*Tamago Club, Hiyoko Club, and Zexy Baby are Japanese magazines about childbirth and parenting.

It's like a mountain of homework before summer vacation in elementary school.

I don't know what I got from where anymore, so I'll start by organizing the prints. hahaha
