Starting in the seventh month of pregnancy, checkups became once every two weeks instead of once a month.
The increase in the number of checkups did not mean that I could accompany my wife more often.
So, after the 7th checkup, I did not go into the maternity hospital, but stayed at the Komeda's coffee or at home. haha

My wife told me that we could see our baby through 4D ultrasound scan at the maternity hospital.
This is not a usual prenatal checkup, but an optional event where you pay a separate fee and get to see your baby.
Since it was a great opportunity, we decided to see our baby through 4D ultrasound scan!

The day has come to see my baby through 4D ultrasound scan!!
Actually, it was another week earlier, but I made a scheduling error and set it for a work meeting day, so I asked my wife to move it to one week later.
It just occurred to me, what is 4D ultrasound scan like? haha
Even I can just barely understand that 2D is flat and 3D is three-dimensional. hahaha
4D is…,
I have only seen 4DX in movie theaters for "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Beauty and the Beast".
In "Pirates of the Caribbean," I got splashed in the face during the ocean scene, and in "Beauty and the Beast," my seat shook during the carriage ride through the forest. hahaha
What exactly is 4D ultrasound scan!?
With excitement for 4D ultrasound scan, I entered the examination room with my wife.
A nurse explained, "You will have 30 minutes to see a movie through ultrasound scan. We will also give you the recorded data."
The last two times I had a our baby's movie through ultrasound scan(Not 4D), it lasted less than five minutes, so I thought, "I'm looking at 30 minutes! That's pretty long!" hahaha
At first, as before, she showed me a movie through ultrasound scan(Not 4D).
Our baby had a solid spine and ribs, and his structure was the same as that of adults.
I was sooooo impressed, "Wow, the baby is so small, but it's amazing that it grew up so well.
Then the nurse let us listen to our baby's heartbeat.
Throb, throb, throb, it was faster than my heart normally beats.
I was soooo moved, thinking, "Wow, our baby is living his whole lives!"
It is said that a baby's heart rate is twice that of an adult.
Finally, it was time to see our baby through 4D ultrasound scan.
