I do love the song "終わりなき旅 (Owarinaki Tabi)" by Mr. Children.
When I was playing baseball in university, I would listen to this song almost every day to get myself going like "Okay! Let's do it!!!"
It was also the song that cheered me up when I was down.
"I wish I could hear 'Owarinaki Tabi' live."
With this in mind, I spent my days looking forward to Mr. Children's live performances.
In 2009, the Internet was already widely available, and I could find out what songs would be played at the live concert, but I did not look up any information about the concert for my own enjoyment on the day of the event. hahaha
December 2009, the day of the concert.
Two hours before the live performance, I arrived at the venue, Osaka Dome, with my friend.
Inside the dome, a rehearsal was taking place, and many of the audience were listening and listening to Mr. Sakurai's (vocalist of Mr. Children) voice leaking from inside the dome.
"Wow! He is really here?"
I was soooo excited!!! hahaha
Well, it was a live concert, so it was only natural for him to come. haha
After purchasing three muffler towels at the merchandise stand located outside the dome, we entered the dome.
Our seats were in the arena between the main stage and the center stage, about 5 meters from the runway connecting them and they were soooo great!!.
"Oh, what!? This is a really, really nice seat!! Thank you so much!!!"
With that said, there was about an hour and a half left before the show started, so I took out my Nintendo DS with Dragon Quest Ⅸ from my bag. hahaha
By the "StreetPass Communication" in Dragon Quest Ⅸ, which was very popular at the time, I was able to connect with people who were also at the Mr. Children's live performance. haha
I had successfully defeated the last boss of Dragon Quest Ⅸ, and all I had to do was wait for the show to start. hahaha
