On the second day, I left Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture and immediately entered Shimane Prefecture.
After entering Matsue City, I passed Lake Shinji and Izumo Taisha Shrine, and in the evening of the same day, I finally arrived at my destination, Masuda City, Shimane Prefecture.
By the way, when I was in elementary school, my mother, my younger sister, and I would go to my grandmother's house from Osaka on the Shinkansen during the summer vacation.
At that time, before going to my grandmother's house, we met our aunt (my mother's older sister), and the three of us stayed overnight at aunt's house.
*My father was late for work and came by car from Osaka. He stayed for about 3 days and returned to Osaka with our family of four by car. In the car on the way home, I played the "Dragon Quest on Electone" CD that my aunt gave me on endless repeat. hahaha
When I was in elementary school, my father worked one day off a week and every Thursday was his day off.
On Thursday, my family of four went shopping at a nearby supermarket.
When I arrived at the supermarket, the first place I went was the toys and games area. haha
My sister and I received 100 yen from my mother saying, "You can play as you please," but my 100 yen was gone in an instant because I usually put 100 yen into Gachapon or Carddass Machine.
I was in despair when I got character goods or cards I didn't want. haha
My sister played steadily with medal games and so on, all I had to do was looking enviously at her play. haha
My mother was irresponsible when it came to the amount of seasonings she used when cooking, but she was very strict when it came to things like this, so she never gave me more than 100 yen. hahaha
Also, I only got toys on special occasions such as my birthday or when we went to Tennoji to watch movies, so I usually just looked at the toys on the shelves in the store. haha
After my sister finished playing, we shopped on the grocery floor in the supermarket, but here too, there was a strict iron rule in my family:
I could only buy snacks and candies up to 100 yen.
That's why I couldn't get sweets with fancy toys that cost more than 200 yen.
Well, those were mainly toys, so even though they were sweets, they only contained a single piece of gum that lost its taste in an instant or a single chalky soft candy about the size of a thumb nail. haha
Let's take the story back to my elementary school days.
When I went back to my grandmother's house in Shimane, we spent the first night at my aunt's house on the first day and, at this time, the iron rule of my family was abolished. haha
My aunt bought me a lot of toys, snacks and candies (this is also a toy lol) that cost more than 200 yen I wouldn't normally be able to buy, at the supermarket and toy store near my aunt's house.
For dinner, we ate at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant near my aunt's house.
Both my sister and I were soooo excited with joy. hahaha
The next day, my mother, sister, and I would go to my grandma's house.
This was my homecoming way during summer vacation when I was an elementary school student.
Then, when I became a university student, I arrived at my aunt's house in Masuda City, Shimane Prefecture from Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, taking two days on a motor bicycle.
My aunt's house still remained exactly the same as I had seen it when I was in elementary school.
On this day, I had dinner with an old lady at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant that I often went to during my summer vacation.
My aunt bought three books for me, a university student, instead of toys.
There are two books about Japanese professional baseball coach Nomura, "Nomura's Notebook", "What Coach Nomura taught me", and one good luck book, "Dreams come true when you connect to the universe-33 ways to become even stronger-" about good luck. There was one book.
