37. My To Do List

The previous story is here!

Well, at the hospital where my wife gave birth, if both mother and baby are healthy, 5 days after delivery is the discharge date for them.

Our baby, Kotaro, was born on April 26 at 23:56,

So the discharge date for my wife & Kotaro is May 1, five days after April 26.

By the way, if Kotaro had been born another 4 minutes later, their discharge date would have been May 2. hahaha

It would be better for my wife's physical condition if she could recuperate in the hospital for a long time, but, well, all this can't be helped.

And so it is decided that we will welcome Kotaro into our home on May 1!!

I'm a little nervous because our baby is coming to our home. haha

My heart is pounding. hahaha

Well...,

This is the first time in my 36 years of life that a baby is in my home. hahaha

The day after the birth and the two days following, April 27 and April 28, were weekdays.

On the 27th, I attended a meeting in the morning via the Internet from my home and rested in the afternoon because I was tired from witnessing the birth the day before. hehe

On the 28th, I went to work at the company properly. hehe

Lucky for us, April 29 is a holiday, so we have a three-day weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, through May 1.

Then, after one weekday on May 2, the three-day weekend comes again with a national holiday from May 3 to May 5.

In Japan, there are many holidays from the end of April to the beginning of May, which are collectively called "Golden Week."

On the weekday of May 2, I had originally planned to go to work, but on the second day of welcoming the baby into our home, I had a lot of things to do at home, so I decided to take the day off from work.

Kotaro's due date was May 15.

I had never dreamed that Kotaro would be born two weeks earlier than his due date, I thought "I can just get the house ready during the Golden Week holidays."

But Kotaro was born earlier, so I was swamped with a lot of things for the baby. hahaha

Thanks to the kind help of the folks at work, I got the day off from work from April 29 to May 5!!

I'm really appreciate them!!!

Thank you sooooo much!!!!!

I managed to finish my work before the holidays thanks to the people around me!

Next, it's time to get ready to welcome our baby, Kotaro, into our home!!

I just added the post-baby procedure to the list my wife sent me!!! hahaha

My to do List
1. Freeze Chicken Dishes
2. Assemble Crib
3. Replace Shoji Paper
4. Laundry
5. Submit of birth certificate
6. Applicate for child allowance
7. Applicate for medical expense subsidies for children
8. Applicate to my company
