Next morning.
Around 7 a.m., I woke up.
It was around 2:00 a.m. when I fell asleep, and I felt a bit physically exhausted.
But I had a great sense of happiness and relief that both my wife and baby were fine, so I was in good spirits.
As I lay in bed, I looked at my phone and found the message from my wife, "I'm back in my room!", at around 2:30 a.m. with photos taken after the birth.
I was half asleep and felt warm inside looking at photos taken with my wife and baby.
I kept looking at the photos for at least 10 minutes. hahaha
Afterwards, she sent me photos of Kotaro in the visiting room, which made me warm inside again. hahaha
Oh, by the way, I haven't talked about our baby's name. haha
We named our baby Kotaro.
Once, when I was teaching at a cram school, I met a boy in the fifth grade of elementary school named Kotaro.
He was a round-cropped baseball boy with a nice smile, tanned black.
Kotaro came to the cram school cheerfully saying, "Hello!"
And when he left there, he also said cheerful, "Good-bye!"
"Kotaro, hello!"
"Hey! Kotaro!!"
Every time I hear his teachers or friends call him "Kotaro!", I always thought...
"Kotaro" is a good sounding and great name!!
So, I decided that when I have a boy, I will name him "Kotaro". hahaha
Time passed and...
It was 2021.
Fortunately, my wife were expecting a baby boy.
I told her about this episode of Kotaro and said, "That's why I want our child's name to be Kotaro."
Of course, I also asked for her preferred name.
Then, she told me, If you are so attached to the name, we'll name him Kotaro. haha
In this way, our baby's name was decided to be Kotaro.
