Well, today I'm talking about class preparation for junior high school students, again.
The note I previously made will be kept with me in the actual class.
At the beginning of class, project or handwrite a blank text on the blackboard. LOL.😜
As I explain the main points of the text, I follow my notes and write them on the blackboard as I teach the class.
Of course, the points I write on the blackboard are also written in the text by the students.
You might think that this is the end of class preparation, because once the note is completed, I can teach the class.
But the prep is not the end of the story. 😎✨
Class time for junior high school students is 50 minutes.
It is enough if the explanation is completed on time.
If there is not enough time, it is well OK to explain at the beginning of the next class.
The most dreaded thing on the day of class is having extra class time.😱😱😱
Imagine a situation where the class ends 15 minutes before the end of class, you have nothing to explain, and the students have nothing to do.
It is, indeed, like a picture of hell. 😇
Don't let this happen,
You should go to class with a printout of exercises in case you have extra time.
I was given this advice at a cram school where I worked.
I followed this advice to the letter and made the exercise printout by handwriting.👍✨
Then I was told to stop writing by hand because it's tacky. 🤪hahaha
Since then, I use my computer to make the exercise printouts.
The advice to "Go to class with a printout of exercises" was very accurate for me.
This is because they do not have to worry about what will happen if the class finishes early, which allows me to proceed the class smoothly.
In addition, students were also pleased when I redistributed this printout just before the regular test.
So, after checking the periodic test and writing the note, I make the printout of exercises in the prep phase. 😎✨
It takes about 2 hours to make this printout.
Checking for periodic tests, writing for the note, and making the printout of exercises ; after completing these three tasks, the prep is complete!
For a 50-minute class for junior high school students, the preparation took about 5 hours.
It took me 15 hours just to prep for the three grades combined. 🤣🤣🤣
By the way, this is what the actual class looks like!!
to be continued...
