For a long time, I had an ambition to run to *Tennoji.
*Tennoji is the general name for the downtown area in the southeastern part of Osaka City in Japan.
It was my LONELY Christmas, so I wanted to do something memorable and decided to do a Christmas run from my house to Tennoji (15 km one way and 30 km round trip).
I put a 500 yen coin, my MD Walkman, and a modest amount of courage in my pocket.
It was 5:00 pm.
"I'm going for a run,"
I told my mother, and left my house.
Money in possession: 500 yen remaining(One 500 yen coin)
I pressed the play button on my MD Walkman, my partner, and started playing my favorite trance music, SUPER★BEST TRANCE V, and I began to run.
Here's what they say about MD Walkman! haha
*I'm working hard on it now.
I have loved Ayumi Hamasaki's music since I was in junior high school.
The song that made me like her was "appears".
From then on, I bought every her new albums songs, and I listened to her songs when I studied, read manga, or did anything else.
One of her remix albums is "SUPER EUROBEAT presents ayu-ro mix".
This album is a remix of Ayumi Hamasaki's songs in a dance music style, and the groove was so good that just listening to it lifted my spirits tremendously.
Thanks to this album, I, a baseball player with a close-cropped head, have come to love dance music such as Eurobeat and trance. hahaha
Since then, I have always listened to uplifting dance music when I run, train, or study.
SUPER★BEST TRANCE V is also, as the title suggests, trance music with lots of electronic sounds.
Alright, back to the Christmas Run. haha
I started running lightly with groovy music, but since it was a long run of 30 km round trip, I tried to keep the pace slow and steady in order to run a long distance.
By the way, my longest running time up to that point was about an hour, and the distance was about 6 or 7 kilometers.
It was suddenly 5 times 30km, so, well, it's my youthful. hahaha
I kept running smoothly, and after an hour…
What a surprise!!!
From my earphones came that cool song I heard at that cheerleading club performance!!!
WoooooooooooO!!!!!
It made me sooooooooooo excited!!!!!!
However, I definitely didn't increase my running pace since I was only a quarter of the way through the distance.
The only thing that I raised was my feeling. haha
Back then, there was no such thing as an app that would tell you what music was playing, like there is now, so the only way to reencounter the nameless, moving songs was through chance, like this. hahaha
to be continued...
