Cheering groups such as the brass band and cheerleading club came to our official baseball game.
They played well-known songs often used in cheering for Koshien(national high school baseball games in Japan), and although I had never played any of the official games, it was frustrating to watch my team play, but it was also fun while listening to live performances of my favorite music.
Incidentally, the cheerleading club's retirement performance was held right after the university's winter vacation began.
Since it was the retirement performance of the cheerleading club, which always comes to support our games, all the members of our baseball team went to see this performance.
After this performance viewing, our baseball team will have a two-week off period between the end of the year and the beginning of the new year.
"Oh, that last song was soooo cool… I wonder what that song is called…"
The song that came on during the last performance of the show was really, really cool.
However, back then, there were no apps that would tell you the name of a song you didn't know, like there are now, so my winter vacation started without knowing the name of the song. haha
I had run out of money to play with and had no girlfriend, so I retreated to my parents' house as soon as the off days started. hahaha
And then I was immersed in Final Fantasy X-2 (hereafter, FF X-2).
This FFX-2 is a sequel to Final Fantasy X (hereafter, FFX).
As a 3rd grader in junior high school, I saw the FFX movie scene for the first time at a friend's house and was soooo surprised at how beautiful the images were.
FF X was a PlayStation 2 exclusive software.
When I was in the 3rd year of junior high school, the only console I had at home was the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), which I had bought when I was in the 1st grade of elementary school. hahaha
I finally got a PlayStation 2 as a gift for passing the high school entrance exam.
9 years had passed, my gaming console made a great leap from the Super Nintendo to the PlayStation 2, jumping over the first PlayStation and the Nintendo 64. haha
I became a a high school student, I cleared FFX by myself, I was soooo impressed not only by its visuals and music, but also by its amazing story.
It was the first time I was moved by a game.
For me, the best game is definitely this game, FFX.
And what a surprise!
When I was a 2nd year high school student, the sequel to FFX, FFX-2, was to be released!
I pre-ordered it right away and bought it the day it went on sale!
I played it right away and easily finished it in only 10 hours or so.
I remember FFX took about 50 hours to reach the ending, so I was surprised at how short the story was in FFX-2.
"Oh, what? It's over!", it was like that. haha
I did some research and found out that FF X-2 is designed in such a way that the story unfolds differently depending on the player's choices of conversations and actions, so to enjoy this work 100%, you need a strategy book. hahaha
Also, the atmosphere of the world and the characters seemed different from that of FFX, so I didn't really like FFX-2 at the time.
Then, time passed, and I was a freshman in university.
Winter vacation when I turned 20 years old.
I had run out of money to play and had no girlfriend, so I decided to go through FFX-2 again, this time with a strategy book in my hand, and 100% through this game! Yeah!
I started to play through the game with a strategy book in my hand, I found that FFX-2 is a very interesting story that takes place after FFX in various parts of the world of FFX-2.
And so my winter vacation as a freshman in university passed. hahaha
to be continued...
