It's my Life

Episode19. Traveling Alone ~Around Chugoku Region in Japan④~

The previous story is here!

On the fourth day, after leaving my aunt's house in Masuda City, Shimane Prefecture, I got on my favorite car (motor bicycle) again and started running toward Yamaguchi Prefecture.

I found National Route 2 when I was heading south at the eastern end of Yamaguchi Prefecture.

National Route 2 also runs through Hyogo Prefecture, where I lived at the time, so I started driving on Route 2, thinking, “If I follow this road, I can reach places I know.”

After a while, I entered Hiroshima Prefecture.

With the Atomic Bomb Dome in Hiroshima City on my left, I thought, "War is scary," and since it was only about 3:00 pm, I decided to keep running a little longer.

I'm really scared of war.

Whether it's a museum, a movie, or anything related to war, I don't want to see it because I'm too emotionally attached to it, or I can imagine the vivid scenery of war.

Ever since I can remember, I've been thinking, "I already know the tragedy of war, so stop it."

One year, it disappeared, but when I was a child, every summer, I had a dream of a war in which fighter planes dropped bombs.

It was the same dream every year.

What I think now, I suppose I experienced war in my previous life.

That's why I overreact when it comes to war-themed stuff.

When I was a child, I had a dream about the memories of my previous life, or the scenery I saw just before I died, that's what I think, anyway.

Of course, I have no psychic powers. haha

Well, let's get back on track.

As I kept running, I saw a signboard of Miyajima.

Since I had come all the way to Hiroshima, so I decided to take a ferry and visit Itsukushima Shrine.

By the time I arrived at the shrine, the worship time was over and the gates were closed. hahaha

"If you close the gates, stop operating the ferry too!!"

While I was thinking about it, it was tooooo frustrating not to go inside Itsukushima Shrine and to go home empty-handed, so I bought some “momiji manju” on Miyajima. hahaha

to be continued...
