In the baseball club of junior high school, I didn't make a lot of achievements, but when I was in the 3rd year of junior high school, I was asked about a high school I wanted to go to in an interview at a cram school, I answered, "I want to go to Heian High School and play in Koshien (we call "the national high school baseball championship in Japan" as "Koshien")."
I was really surprised to know in order to join a baseball club that can participate in national championship such as Heian High School, I had to belong to a club team from the time of junior high school and enroll by sports recommendation for the first time at that time.
I easily gave up going to Heian High School.
At that time, I thought it's not impossible for me to compete at Koshien from any high school.
Shortly after entering high school, I realized that in order to play in Koshien, I had to go to a high school compete at Koshien.
Then, "In order for me to play an active role as a main player in a team that participates in national championship, I had to belong to a club team when I was a junior high school student, and for that I had to play baseball from the lower grades of elementary school. If I had done that, I would be better at baseball...", I really regretted my life up to that point.
This was when I was 16 years old.
"I want to start over in my life."
I've been thinking about that for a long time.
In my 2nd year of high school, I happened to talk about Koshien with one of my classmates.
When I heard the word "Koshien" for the first time in a long time, I came to my senses.
I remembered that I had always wanted to play in Koshien since I was in elementary school.
"Now’s the only time to get a chance to play in Koshien" and then I practiced so hard.
About two months before the start of the summer Osaka qualifying, May of my 3rd year of high school.
I finaly noticed, "Playing in Koshien (Winning the Osaka tournament), it means that the total amount of "talent x ambition x practice" is the best in Osaka. In order to compete at Koshien, players who are more talented than me have the ambitions of "Playing in Koshien", "Be No.1 in Japan", and "Become a professional baseball player" and have been practiced so hard everyday from the time of junior high school."
This moment, I realized, "In terms of talent, ambition, and amount of practice, I'm not as good as players who play in Koshien. I can never win a tournament in Osaka."
In the final tournament, our school lost in the first match.
In this way, my high school life was over easily without achieving the goal of "Win the Championship and Raise my clenched fists."
